The beer bottle museum of the brewery Schützengarten shows the impressive collection of Christian Bischof with over 3000 beer bottles from 260 different Swiss breweries. The unique exhibition brings together more than 3000 beer bottles from over 260 breweries from 130 localities. The oldest example, a clay pot, dates from 1869. An impressive piece of Swiss brewery history. And a feast for all beer lovers.
At the end of the 19th century, there were 600 breweries in Switzerland. The city of St. Gallen is represented in the Beer Bottle Museum with examples from seven breweries: Schönenwegen, Bavaria, Uhler, Hock, Hirschen, Stocken and, of course, Schützengarten. A must for all beer lovers. Come along and discover a piece of brewery history in Switzerland.
