The Peter and Paul Wildlife Park which opened in 1892 is located above the town on the hill Rosenberg in the quarter Rotmonten. The Wildlife park is home to various native animals such as ibexes, lynxes, Ibex, roe, fallow, sika deer, chamois, marmot, lynx, etc. It’s a beautiful and quiet place for a walk – even if it rains.
The «Wildpark» is an open institution for more than 100 years. The entry is free of charge, 24 hours a day, all year round. The park is mainly financed by private patrons, donations, animal sales and subsidies from the political community of St.Gallen and other public bodies.
It is on top of the hill in a forest with beautiful panoramic view on Lake Constance (Bodensee) and Alpstein.
