Larissa Zuberbühler | Barista @Kaffeehaus

Larissa was born in the picturesque Appenzellerland, just around the corner from St. Gallen. At the beginning of 2024, she took over the charming coffee house in the Linsenbühl quarter of St. Gallen from Gallus Hufenus. For many years, Hufenus was the face of the coffee house, and Larissa intends to honour his legacy while introducing fresh ideas and her own creative spirit.

Now living in St. Gallen, Larissa enjoys the advantages of city life. Her passion for coffee and its production runs deep – she is a barista with heart and soul. «I wanted to find a balance to my work in webdesign, and it was especially important to me to combine social interaction with people and my passion for the finest coffee,» she explains.

At 32 years old, Larissa brings not only her love for nature, creativity, and a good sense of humour, but also her boundless enthusiasm for coffee. She hand-roasts exquisite beans from South America in the coffee house. Recently, she visited her supplier in Brazil, witnessing first-hand how much effort goes into each raw coffee bean. This experience has deepened her appreciation for coffee even further. In addition to her roasting, the coffee house has become a lively hub for discussions and cultural events for all.

«It’s a wonderful place with an inspiring atmosphere and simply delicious coffee,» Larissa says with enthusiasm. Moreover, she fulfils another dream with her own mini-agency, webetc.ch, where she offers webdesign, marketing and various design services. Her creativity and humour flow into everything she does, ensuring a personal and unique touch in all her projects.
