Comedia is an independent, cooperative bookshop and comic store in St. Gallen. Founded in the early 1980s, it has long stood for a culturally engaged alternative to mainstream book retail.
Comedia is especially known for its extensive selection of comics and manga, complemented by a carefully curated general book range. The shelves include German and English fiction, science fiction and fantasy, political literature, world literature, poetry, as well as children’s and young adult books. The offer is rounded out by world music on vinyl and CD.
As a cooperative, Comedia is owned and supported by its members.
