The two figures, “Inspector Maigret and the Old Man”, became well-known landmarks in St. Gallen. For several years, they stood on a balcony (Rosenbergstr.42) as if deeply engaged in solving a mysterious case together. Sadly, the sculptures were stolen one night and have never been recovered. Their disappearance remains a real loss for the city and for everyone who admired them.
