There it is… the popular «St. Galler Bratwurst». This famous veal sausage is the favorite at barbecues and festivals. Only the finest veal, a little bacon and fresh milk may be used as ingredients.
The Swiss prefer their favorite sausage served crisp and brown from the grill, accompanied by a crunchy «Bürli» roll. A lot of butchers sell their «St. Galler Bratwurst» freshly packed or grilled. Every one of them is registered on the website (sg-bratwurst.ch).
We citizens from St. Gallen love to discuss with each other about the butcher with the best «St. Galler Bratwurst». Some stand up for this butcher, some for the other.
