I know not much about this oriel… I can only guess. There is a snake (Schlange) wrapped around a shell. I found out that this is the shell of Hygeia. It’s an old hungary symbol and can be found on the German, Austrian and also Switzerland pharmacies. It is a symbol of health and healing – the snake drinking health.
There are also some poppies. Poppies have become a symbol of remembrance of soldiers who have died during wartime.
On the east side of the oriel you can see a coat of arms with a dove on a stone. It is the family crest of the Schobinger family (1811).
