There is not much Information about the house with the oriel «Zum Mohrenkopf». Probably the house belonged in the year 1625 the widow of Dr. med. Rotmund.

On a sort of Corinthian column, a black woman’s head is presented with stereotypical features: pearly red lips, broad nose, golden earrings and a pearl necklace. What do you think? Is that racist? Does it remind us of the colonial entanglements of Switzerland and is therefore of historical value or should it be banned from public space?
